PURPOSE: A car charging port lock system and a method thereof are provided to prevent a vehicle from being damaged by a separation of a charging cable and a charging port by preventing a charging cable and a charging port of a vehicle from being separated when charging electricity and a hybrid vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A car charge port lock system and a method thereof comprise the following steps: a lock device (220) locks or lifts a charging cable port (310) and a charging port (210) mutually; a button unit (240) drives the lock device; when an RF code signal is received, a user identification reader (250) detects a user identification in the RF code signal; and a control unit (270) controls the button unit based on a detected user identification.
