<p>The present invention relates to a uni-lamellar lipidic vesicle which may become intelligent by being programmed to perform a set number of cycles. The vesicle is filled with the aqueous solution of a substance wherein the vesicle membrane is impermeable and is introduced into a hypotonic medium. Due to the osmotic gradient, it performs a buffered cyclic process with two stages: 1. the swelling stage, due to the water osmotic influx, the end of the stage being marked by the occurence of a trans-membrane pore; 2. the relaxing stage, when a part of the vesicle content is discharged through the pore and, in consequence, the vesicle returns to the initial size. By programming 1. there is established the quantity of special substance which may be discharged during each cycle and 2. there are set the intervals for releasing the substance with special properties.</p> |
