Method for treating the internal surface of the steam generator tube of a water-cooled nuclear reactor, the method comprising the following steps in succession: a) when the water in the primary circuit of the reactor is at a temperature between 80° and 180°C, magnetite (Fe3O4) is inserted therein in order to obtain treated water; and b) the treated water is made to flow so as to bring it into contact with the internal surface of the steam generator tube, on which it forms a layer of a protective oxide that makes it possible to fix all or some of the nickel liable to be discharged into the primary circuit by the constituent alloy of the steam generator tube. The treatment method of the invention makes it possible to limit the discharge of nickel into the primary circuit and the resulting cobalt 58 contamination.
|
