<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for hologram reproduction and a hologram recording and reproducing device capable of reducing color mixture occurring when information of a hologram recording medium is reproduced and of improving the signal-to-noise ratio of an obtained image. <P>SOLUTION: In reproduction, the device has two imaging elements 19 and 20 with a composite polarizer element 25, in which a first polarizer 25a allowing an easy transmission of a P-polarization component and a second polarizer 25b allowing an easy transmission of an S-polarization component are alternately assembled so as to form a checkerboard pattern, placed on the light incident side of the imaging elements 19 and 20. The P-polarization component of reproduction light is set to enter one of the imaging elements 19 and 20 with a polarizer and the S-polarization component of the reproduction light is set to enter the other imaging element 19 or 20 with a polarizer. Hologram reproduction data are obtained by an operation of P-polarization component information picked up by one of the imaging elements 19 and 20 with a polarizer and of S-polarization component information picked up by the other imaging element 19 or 20 with a polarizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
