<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood lock device that facilitates fitting of a cable for opening operation and free of a risk of falling of the cable from a fitting position of a base plate. <P>SOLUTION: The hood lock device is constituted by pivoting an open lever to which a cable 8 for latch and opening operation engaging and disengaging from a striker is connected in a base box 4 fitted to a vehicle body 1, and mounting a cap 9 for positioning which abuts against the base box 4 at a part of an outer periphery of the cable 8 which penetrates the base box 4. A cut 21 which is open to a base box fitting-surface side of the vehicle body 1 is formed in a side face part of the base box 4, the cable 8 is inserted into the cut 21 and a gap between the base box-fitting surface of the vehicle body 1 and the opening of the cut 21 is made narrower than the diameter of the cap 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
