<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic cation exchange material which has good magnetosensitive properties due to its high magnetic body content and can be produced by a safely simple and easy method in order to collect, remove, concentrate, and recover metal ions from industrial effluent, river water, and ground water by using a magnetic separation technique and by using it more simply, safely, efficiently, and repeatedly. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic cation exchange material can be produced by the safely simple and easy method.
