摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure unit capable of uniformizing the temperature distribution of a honeycomb structure, and restraining the internal stress of the honeycomb structure by reducing the temperature gradient of the honeycomb structure, in the honeycomb structure unit including a cylinder body and the honeycomb structure. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure unit 10 includes the cylinder body 5, and the honeycomb structure 3 including a plurality of cells 2 stored in the cylinder body 5 and extending in the axis L direction of the cylinder body 5. In the honeycomb structure 3, the thermal conductivity of an outer peripheral region E on an outer side relative to that of a center region C corresponding to the axis L is set higher than that of the center region C on a cross-sectional surface vertical to the axis L direction.
