<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus satisfying both of correction of misalignment and suppression of EMI with a simple configuration, and an image forming method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having a beam-outputting means for outputting a light beam subjected to intensity modulation on the basis of input image data, and forming an image on a recording material using a latent image formed on a photosensitive body by moving an irradiation position with a light beam set on the photosensitive body in a main scanning direction at a constant velocity includes: a frequency-spreading means for spectrum-spreading a clock frequency of a clock signal in accordance with a predetermined set condition; a synchronized data-outputting means for outputting image data synchronized with the spectrum-spread clock signal to the beam-outputting means; and a correcting means for increasing or decreasing radiation time of the light beam to accord a width in a main scanning direction of the latent image with a fiducial width by altering a varying cycle, a varied amplitude, and a part of or all of a varied phase of the clock frequency as a set condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
