<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device of bearing for wheel which prevents a side lip of a back seal from being adsorbed to a slinger, prevents abnormal wear of the side lip and an increase in rotation torque and permits a longer life. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device of bearing for wheel includes: a seal plate 12 composed of a seal member 15 joined to a core metal 14 by cure adhesion; and a slinger 13 having a cylinder part 13a and a vertical plate part 13b extended to the outer side in the radial direction, wherein the seal member 15 includes a side lip 15b which is obliquely extended to the outer side in the radial direction and is brought into sliding contact with the vertical plate part 13b via an axial margin in the axial direction and a grease lip 15c which is brought into sliding contact with the cylindrical part 13a via a radial direction margin interference, a backup lip 16 is formed obliquely inward in the radial direction from a base part 15a between the side lip 15b and the grease lip 15c, the tip part is confronted with a corner part between the cylinder part 13a and the vertical plate part 13b and, when the interior of the bearing comes to a negative pressure, the backup lip 16 comes into contact with the cylindrical part 13a and prevents the side lip 15b from being adsorbed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
