<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device with a higher energy density on the basis of a solid ionic electrolyte which is excellent in diffusivity, chemical stability, and mechanical properties. <P>SOLUTION: A solid ionic electrolyte having a neutral organic plastic crystal matrix of succinonitrile doped with an ionic salt such as a lithium salt of a fluorinated compound is combined with an anode comprising a Li-containing material having an electrochemical potential within about 1.3 V of a lithium metal, thereby forming a stable interface between the electrolyte and the anode. For a cathode, LiFePO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, LiCoO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>or the like is used, to construct the electrochemical device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
