PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and a program for adding a signature etc. whose uncomfortable feeling is little into a picture-like image without giving a burden to a user. SOLUTION: When an original image is to be converted into the picture-like image, a painting style ("water color painting style", "oil painting style", etc.) indicating a special effect which is given to the picture-like image after conversion is made to be previously selected by a user, then the original image is converted to the picture-like image by an image processing responding to the selected painting style. When the painting style selected by the user in the case of conversion is classified to a "Japanese painting style", then a registered person name expressed by kanji notation and expressed by cursive writing is to be added to the picture-like image as the signature. When the painting style selected by the user in the case of conversion is classified to a "European painting style", then the registered person name expressed by Roman alphabet notation and expressed by cursive handwriting is to be added to the picture-like image as the signature.
