<p>A system and method for analysing information in a TCP/IP network, the method comprising receiving a plurality of HTTP Request and Response messages relating to a plurality of HTTP items being downloaded by a user and creating, upon receipt of each valid HTTP Response message relating to an HTTP item, an HTTP item object, the HTTP item object being associated with, and including information contained in, the HTTP Request and Response messages related to the HTTP item. The method also including linking the created HTTP item objects hierarchically using information in the Referer fields of their associated HTTP Request messages and grouping a plurality of linked HTTP item objects together if the time between the receipt of their associated valid HTTP Response messages does not exceed a given threshold.</p> |
