CHARGING CIRCUIT AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery with high efficiency.

SOLUTION: A charging circuit 100 receives a DC voltage from an external power supply to charge a battery 2. A DC-DC converter 30 steps down a DC voltage from the outside and generates a system voltage VSYS. A linear charger 50 receives the system voltage VSYS and charges the battery 2 in a constant current mode or a constant voltage mode. The DC-DC converter 30 changes a target voltage of the system voltage VSYS according to a voltage VBAT of the battery 2.
