The dispenser has housing (1) that is provided with a receiving chamber (2) for receiving a lubricant (5) through an exhaust opening (6). A discharge device is arranged in housing for proportioned delivery of lubricant. A light source (8) is provided for displaying an operation state of main portion. The light source is set for feeding light into a photoconductive element (9) which is arranged in housing and for extending to the periphery of the housing. The light is distributed to radiation surface (10) of photoconductive element, which is visible on outside of main portion.
