<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the reliability evaluation of a packet network with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An entry side edge device 1 of an MPLS network 9 generates, for a user signal flowing into the MPLS network 9, a plurality of types of error detection codes for detecting the transmission error of a user signal, generates a user packet, i.e., an MPLS packet encapsulated in a user signal, and transmits the user packet to an exit side edge device 3. The exit side edge device 3 of the MPLS network 9 calculates the number of error detection times for each types from the plurality of error detection codes taken out by decapsulating the MPLS packet thus received, and then calculates the error rate of the MPLS network 9 according to the ratio of the number of error detection times thus calculated, and the amount of data of the MPLS packet thus received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
