<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a resistance heating element system capable of stably supplying power while suppressing deterioration in thermal efficiency and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device 100 for fixing a toner image on a recording sheet by a fixing nip in which a pressure member 210 is press-contacted with the outer peripheral surface of a fixing belt 200 having a resistance heating element layer, wherein the fixing nip is formed by loosely inserting a shaft 221 into the fixing belt 200 and bringing the tip end of a slide contact pad 220 which base end is fixed to the shaft 221 into sliding contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 200 at a position corresponding to the fixing nip. A belt drive gear 210 is rotatably supported with the fixing belt 200 and fitted to both end openings of the fixing belt 200 outside from the slide contact pad 220 in the rotation shaft direction of the fixing belt 200. A power receiving part 203 is installed in the belt drive gear 210 and electrically connected to the resistance heating element layer. A power supply member 204 is locked to the shaft 221 and slidingly contacted with the power receiving part 203 to supply power to the resistance heating element layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
