<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an organic EL element capable of repairing an inter-electrode short-circuit part without laser damage to an organic layer composed of an organic material. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an organic electroluminescent element 1 includes: a preparing step of preparing an organic EL element 1A which has a short-circuit defective part and in which an anode 11, an organic layer 30 including a light-emitting layer 13, and a cathode 16 composed of a transparent material are laminated in this order; a specifying step of specifying a laser beam having an intensity component which penetrates the cathode 16 to denature the organic layer 30 and does not denature the cathode 16 among laser beams having an intensity distribution; and an irradiation step of repairing a defect resulting from the short-circuit defective part by irradiating at least the cathode 16 region of the short-circuit defective part or the periphery of the region with the laser beam from which the specified intensity component was removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
