摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell in which application of a current to an electrode body can be interrupted during overcharge without affecting the cell reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The cell includes a an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a case 2 in which the electrode body is housed, an external terminal 3 for electrical connection with the electrode body, and a current interruption mechanism 5. The current interruption mechanism 5 includes an enclosed part 51 formed in the case 2, a heating part 53 housed in the enclosed part 51 and being connected electrically with the electrode body, a gas generation medium 52 housed in the enclosed part 51 and being gasified or releasing gas by heating of the heating part 53, and a current interrupting part 54 connected electrically in series with the external terminal 3 and the electrode body, and disconnecting the external terminal 3 and the electrode body electrically by action of a valve mechanism 542 when the pressure in the enclosed part 51 increases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
