<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically replacing piles which securely forms a pocket into which an auxiliary pile support is inserted by improving a method for forming an auxiliary pile when pile replacement takes place at the delivery of a sheet processing machine provided with an auxiliary pile support device for receiving the auxiliary pile at an underside during nonstop pile replacement and provided with a plurality of stopper elements and separator elements which are arranged outside a pile area and in front of the edge of a pile to form the pocket in the flow of sheets dropped on the pile after convey and release by a conveying system. <P>SOLUTION: Stopper elements 28 and 29 are moved from working positions at the edge of the pile to standby positions spaced apart from the edge of the pile immediately before a pile 21 is dropped, and after the pile is dropped by a designated distance, a sheet height position holder 38 for a rear edge of the sheet is moved to a pile area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
