<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording and reproducing performance for image data. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device 16 outputs live image data corresponding to an optical image captured on an imaging plane, and a signal processing circuit 20 converts the output live image data into image data in YUV format. A CPU 34 acquires the image data output from the signal processing circuit 20 in response to operation of a shutter button 36sh. Here, permission/restriction of the acquisition processing is controlled by determining commonality between a main subject captured by the imaging plane when the operation of the shutter button 36sh is received and a main subject captured by the imaging plane in a reference attitude. When the acquisition processing is permitted, a CPU 34 generates attitude information representing an attitude of the imaging plane when the operation of the shutter button 36sh is received.
