MEDIUM FOR DETECTING HEMOLYSIN PRODUCING BACTERIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection medium that shortens culture time of bacterium in comparison with a conventional blood agar plate medium while keeping medium performance when a hemolysin producing bacterium to cause hemolysis in a blood agar medium is searched.

SOLUTION: The medium 10 for detecting a hemolysin producing bacterium is constituted by laminating a lower layer 16 composed of an erythrocyte-containing blood agar medium and an upper layer 18 composed of an erythrocyte-free agar medium in a petri dish 14 to form a plate medium.
