PURPOSE: Apparatus for treating laundry provides washing information to a user when power supply is resumed after power cutoff, and the user determine whether to continue interrupted washing or restart. CONSTITUTION: A power management unit senses power supply from external power supply. When the power management unit senses power cutoff during doing washing, a washing information management unit stores laundry information. When the power management unit senses the restart of power supply, a control panel (114) indicates laundry information which is stored in the washing information management unit. The control panel includes a washing continuation button (114d) which enables interrupted washing to be continued and a washing restart button (114c) which enables washing to be restarted from the first time.
