<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion apparatus which achieves excellent cooling efficiency of a capacitor module. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power conversion apparatus 1 has: a laminated body 4 formed by laminating semiconductor modules 2, each of which incorporates a switching element therein, and multiple cooling pipes 3 cooling each semiconductor module 2 from both major surfaces; and a capacitor module 5 incorporating a capacitor element 51 therein. The capacitor module 5 includes multiple capacitor bus bars 52 connecting with an electrode of the capacitor element 51 and has a heat radiation protruding part 53 protruding from the capacitor bus bars 52.
