PURPOSE: A display unit and an electronic device including the same are provided to suppress an increase of a pixel area by reducing the sum of the channel length of a first driving transistor and the channel length of a second driving transistor to less than the channel length of the existing driving transistor even if a current which is supplied to an EL element decreases by reducing the drain current of the second driving transistor. CONSTITUTION: A display unit includes a first transistor(111), a second transistor(112), and a pixel which includes an EL element(120). The first terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected with the first terminal of the second transistor. The second terminal of the second transistor is electrically connected with the first terminal of the EL terminal. The second transistor operates in a saturation region in order to supply a drain current[Id]to the EL element by controlling a voltage which is supplied to a gate of the second transistor. The drain current is defined as an mathematical equation 'Id<0.5W/(L1+L2)·uCox(Vg-Vth)2' in which L1 is the channel length of the first transistor, L2 is the channel length of the second transistor, W is the channel width of each of the first and second transistors, u is the electric field effect mobility of each of the first and second transistors, Vg is a voltage which is supplied to the gate of the first transistor, Vth is the critical voltage of the first transistor, Cox is the sum of the gate capacitance of the first and second transistors, and amount of the drain current is controlled according to a data signal which is supplied to the gate of the first transistor. |
