<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cell including a needle-like carbon assembly in an air electrode layer, the carbon assembly having more reaction starting points for oxygen reduction reaction than conventional carbon materials. <P>SOLUTION: An air cell includes at least an air electrode, a negative electrode and an electrolyte layer interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode. The air electrode includes at least an air electrode layer containing a needle-like carbon assembly. In the needle-like carbon assembly, each needle-like carbon is arranged so that the longitudinal direction thereof becomes the direction from an inside of the needle-like carbon assembly toward the outside surface thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
