<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte having a high EW (or a low IEC), and exhibiting a high proton conductivity even in non-humidified conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte includes a silica layer formed by condensation polymerization of a hydrophilic group consisting of a silanol group or a precursor thereof, and an organic sulfonate group modifying the internal surface of the silica layer and not having pores derived from the removal of a surfactant internally. The electrolyte is obtained by adding an SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>source having a hydrophilic group, as required, into a solution containing amphipathic molecules including a silanol group or a hydrophilic group consisting of a precursor thereof and a hydrophobic group consisting of a precursor of an organic sulfonate group, self-assembling the amphipathic molecules in the solution, and condensing and polymerizing the hydrophilic group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
