<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve error correction capability while suppressing a reduction in storage capacity of a storage medium in a storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device 2 according to one embodiment includes: a first encoder 10; a storage medium 8; a second encoder 12; and a radio communication section 9. The first encoder 10 generates a first code word including a first information portion corresponding to at least a part of write-in data and a first redundant portion used for correction of the first information portion. The storage medium 8 stores the first code word therein. The second encoder 12 generates a second redundant portion used for correction of a second information portion corresponding to the first code word or the first information portion.
