The differential (1) has a planetary carrier (2), and sun wheels (5, 6) comprising respective external teeth (7) and arranged at the planetary carrier. The sun wheels are combed with respective input wheels that are designed as planetary wheels. The planetary wheels are connected with one another, and an axial drive wheel (14) is arranged radially at an outer side of the carrier. A rotational torque-transferring connection (17) e.g. force-fit connection and/or welded connection, is formed between an inner surface (15) of the drive wheel and a radial peripheral surface (13) of the carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a spur gear differential.
