The invention relates to a screened and cultivated chlorella mutant strain for producing single cell grease and biodiesel and the use thereof. The chlorella mutant strain is deposited at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) with the preservation number of CGMCC No.4917 and the preservation date of 27th May 2011.The chlorella mutant strain is a single cell grease mutant strain with high grease yield and can be applied to biodiesel production.
