<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white organic EL element having satisfactory color rendering properties. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has a plurality of luminescent layers between an anode and a cathode opposite to each other. The plurality of the luminescent layers as a whole contain a red luminescent dopant, a yellow luminescent dopant, a green luminescent dopant and a blue luminescent dopant.
