REPLACEMENT PERIOD ANALYZING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A replacement cycle analyzing apparatus is provided to concurrently display graphs about reliability and life-cycle cost, thereby helping for estimation of an replacement cycle for an object. CONSTITUTION: A project module(110) receives a plurality of new project names as input. A system tree module(120) collects BOM(Bill Of Material) information about parts and components of an object. The system tree module generates tree structures of the parts and components corresponding to a new project name. An FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) module(130) collects failure information from the BOM information. An LCC(Life-Cycle Cost) module(140) collects life-cycle cost information from the BOM information. A reliability/life-cycle analysis module(150) computes reliability and life-cycle cost based on the failure information and life-cycle cost information.
