Producing a sample from a subsea wellbore

A method of producing fluid from a subsea wellbore 26 comprises; obtaining a sample amount of fluid, isolating the sample (50, figure 2) in a container 44 adjacent the wellbore, and sensing the sample at vertically spaced locations over a period of time using sensors 56. A constituent of the sample fluid is identified based on the step of sensing. The method may also involve identifying stratification of the sample into phases, there may be a multi-phase flow meter, and the method may further include estimating a percentage an identified constituent makes up of the total sample. A second invention is a susbsea wellhead assembly with a sample circuit, sensors inside a sample container, a wellhead housing, a production tree and a production flow line. A third invention is a method of producing fluid from a subsea well including retaining an amount of fluid in a sealed environment, and measuring a flow rate.
