PURPOSE: An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve a penetration ratio by maximizing the opening area of a pixel. CONSTITUTION: An organic insulation layer includes an opening unit which exposes a TFT(Transistor Film Transistor). A common electrode(123a) is formed on the organic insulation layer. An auxiliary electrode pattern(123c) is connected to the TFT through the opening unit. A protection layer(116,127) exposes the auxiliary electrode pattern connected to the TFT. A plurality of pixel electrodes(133a) is electrically connected to the TFT through the exposed auxiliary electrode pattern.
