<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner which gives a feeling of luxury by configuring an opening/closing panel in such a way that it can reflect incident light effectively. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing panel 2 covering a suction port of the front face of an indoor unit body 1 comprises a decorative panel 3, a panel holder 4, and a light shielding sheet 5 arranged between the decorative panel 3 and the panel holder 4, wherein the decorative panel 3 is composed of a plate formed of a transparent resin material, a plurality of protruded knurls 35 extended to the vicinity of both ends of the decorative panel 3 and projected toward a body side are arranged in parallel in a longitudinal direction on the whole of the back face of the decorative panel 3 and at the same time, a pearl coating layer 36 is arranged in the whole zone of the back side.
