PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin is provided to minimize fusion of a prepolymer particle to inner wall of a solid phase polymerization and to provide a liquid crystal polyester resin with thermal stability and uniform physical properties. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin comprises a step of conducting reaction of a monomer with hydroxyl group and carboxylic anhydride, for acetylation; a step of synthesizing a liquid crystal polyester prepolymer by polycondensating the acetylated monomer and dicarboxylic acid; a step of pulverizing the aromatic liquid crystal polyester prepolymer to obtain a prepolymer particle with a particle size of 0.1-3.0 mm; and a step of synthesizing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin by solid state polymerizing the pulverized aromatic liquid crystal polyester prepolymer.
