<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification apparatus that is used for well water or the like and achieves the size reduction of the apparatus and the reduction in running cost by minimizing the amount of water treated with an RO membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The water purification apparatus includes: a daily life water system 3 that is connected to the downstream side through a first purification part 7 disposed downstream of a water intake part and a second purification part 8 disposed downstream of the first purification part 7; and a drinking water system 4 that branches from the daily life water system 3 on the downstream side of the second purification part 8 and is connected to the downstream side through a third purification part 9. The first purification part 7 is provided with at least one or more among active carbon, ion exchange filters, sand filters, and nucleating unit filters. The second purification part 8 is provided with a UF membrane and/or an MF membrane.
