<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling two robots that prevents interference between the robots in a common working space. <P>SOLUTION: A working space is modelled by defining interference regions each configured of a simple shape in consideration of objects present in the working space and classified into prohibited interference regions, monitored interference regions, and hybrid interference regions. Each robot 3, 4 is configured to transmit a first output signal as entry booking and a second output signal as an entry/presence warning to a central electronic control unit 7 when entering the hybrid interference region. The status of each hybrid interference region is varied dynamically with respect to each robot 3, 4 during the operation of the robots 3, 4 by transmitting an input signal which brings the hybrid interference region into a monitored state or a prohibited with respect to the robot 3, 4, to the robots 3, 4 from the central electronic control unit 7 according to whether or not the other robot 3 or 4 is present in the hybrid interference region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
