<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roll to be used for a charging roll, a developing roll, a transfer roll and a toner supply roll included in an electrophotographic copying apparatus such as a laser printer, a plain paper fax machine and a copier, the conductive roll being configured to reduce weight, without oxidizing a shaft or scattering fiber even if an end part of the shaft is worn. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft 11 is constituted by arranging a plurality of carbon fibers of long fiber along the longitudinal direction L of the shaft 11 and joining them by a resin binder made of a vinyl ester-based epoxy resin.
