PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a cylinder cover of an engine is provided to improve the mechanical strength and durability of the cylinder cover by enhancing a cylinder cover manufacturing process using free forging or die forging and a forging mold. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a cylinder cover of an engine is as follows: a step for forming a heated ingot to a cubic molded article by implementing a free forging process including primary upsetting and cogging; a step for reheating the molded article; a step for secondarily upsetting the reheated molded article; a step for forming the secondarily upset molded article(24) to a primary mold forging molded article(26); a step for forming a secondary mold forging molded article(27); and a step for forming a punching molded article(28).
