PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot detection method for detecting a spot at high speed.

SOLUTION: A color space of a photographed image obtained by photographing a prescribed skin region of a subject is converted, a color space component image consisting of a prescribed color space component of the color space of the converted photographed image is generated, and the color space component image is performed with multiple resolution processing to generate a plurality of color space component resolution conversion images having different resolutions. By performing binarization processing of the plurality of generated color space component resolution conversion images, the spot present inside the prescribed skin region is detected.
