The system has a stationary drive (5) for driving a supporting belt (3) at a region of a loading and/or unloading position. The stationary drive stays in an effective connection with a drive element for the supporting belt. A planar field winding (7) for generating an electric traveling field is installed as the stationary drive for the supporting belt in defined path segments. The traveling field drives an endlessly circulating runner element (8) in a contact-less manner. The runner element is coupled with the supporting belt and is arranged on a container (1).
