[Also in Division B6] A machine for fastening sheets together by crimping comprises a pair of toothed interlocking members 4 and 5, Figs. 4 and 5, which, when they are brought together substantially perpendicular to the sheets placed between them, mesh and bind the sheets together, and when they are separated from one another release the bound sheets. In one embodiment, Fig. 3, the machine is of the bench or desk type wherein one block member 4 is mounted on a jaw 3 pivoted about an axle 2 and operated by a lever 7, and the other block member 5 is fixed to the frame 1 of the machine. The lever 7 is provided with a cam 7<SP>1</SP> co-operating with a resilient supporting pad 9 mounted in the frame 1. In a second embodiment (not illustrated) the machine is in the form of a pair of hand pliers. |
