<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that: ink supply is disrupted when recording is performed while ink is introduced from an ink tank into a recording head on its own by a capillary force of a nozzle along with discharge of ink from the nozzle and the nozzle is driven at a high duty; and on the other hand, when the ink is forcibly supplied from the ink tank to the recording head, and recording is performed while controlling negative pressure in the recording head to make the negative pressure stably act on the nozzle, noise is generated along with the drive of a supply pump or the like for forcibly supplying ink and a negative pressure fan or the like constituting a negative pressure control mechanism, and power consumption is increased in operations. <P>SOLUTION: Ink supply methods are optionally switched depending on the number of dots in printing data, to selectively execute recording processing by adopting either of the supply methods. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
