PURPOSE: A control method for a soft reduction by measuring a slab form is provided to suppress a generation of center segregation by pressurizing the slab in a solidification completion point by postponing a process time of the soft reduction in a case of having a thickness variance of the slab passing through a soft reduction process. CONSTITUTION: A control method for a soft reduction by measuring a slab form comprises the following steps: a thickness variance value to a width direction of a slab(S) passing through a soft reduciton process is measured(S110); a generation of center segregation inside the slab is determined when a variation of a measured thickness variance value already exceeds a set value. no generation of center segregation inside the slab is determined when the variation of the measured thickness variance value does not exceed the set value(S120); and the soft reduction time is postponed when the generation of center segregation inside the slab is determined(S130).
