<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of reading an image so that noise is not noticeable in an image reading apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 50 includes: a light source 210; an image sensor 220 that transfers a load stored in a photoelectric conversion element to a shift register via a shift gate; and a reading control section 120. The reading control section 120 shifts sensor readout start timing on a line basis by inserting a dummy period into a shift cycle to transfer the load from the photoelectric conversion element, and makes peak positions of noises contained in a readout image different from each other on the line basis. The reading control section 120 gathers a plurality of consecutive lines into blocks, and makes patterns to insert the dummy period different from each other on a block basis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
