摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of both performing over-drive operation for improving liquid crystal response and expanding gradation expression by dither processing. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 comprises: a time division drive part 18 that generates a gradation data column D3 in which a gradation value undergoes time division for each frame period being influenced by over-drive operation on the basis of gradation data D1 to be inputted; and further a judgement part 20 that is included in the liquid crystal display device 1 comprising a dither process division 19, and that decides for each frame period whether each gradation value of the gradation data column D3 outputted from the time division drive part 18 has gradation higher than a prescribed gradation threshold Dth or not. The judgement part 20 controls the gradation value of an image signal D5, the output of a switch 21, in such a manner that the gradation value of the gradation data column D3 is selected during a frame period whose gradation value is equal to or less than Dth, and the gradation value of a gradation data column D4 after dither conversion is selected during a frame period whose gradation value is greater than Dth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
