<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a successive conversion type AD conversion device with predictive conversion which implements higher prediction accuracy than before. <P>SOLUTION: In an analog-digital conversion device 1, every time a conversion section 11 AD-converts an input signal, a variation calculation section 22 calculates a variation of the new AD conversion result from the preceding AD conversion result. A variation storage section 23 stores a predetermined number of variations calculated on the basis of the preceding AD conversion results. A maximum variation extraction section 24 extracts a maximum variation of the predetermined number of variations stored in the variation storage section 23. A conversion value prediction section 30 decides predicted values of one or more bits of all the bits to be determined by AD conversion on the basis of the extracted maximum variation. The conversion section 11 decides, by successive approximation, values of the remaining bits other than the one or more bits where the predicted values have been decided by the conversion value prediction section 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
