<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire for a motor cycle, capable of suppressing lowering of steering response property while maintaining rolling resistance, and capable of improving drainage performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the tire for motorcycle 1, a tread part 2 includes a pair of shoulder regions Sh which are regions from the tread end 2t to 17% of the tread extending width. The tire includes: inclined main grooves 11 each of which includes a main section 13 inclined and extended to forward side in a tire rotation direction from a tire equator C side to a tread end 2t side, and a sub section 14 extending to backward side in the tire rotation direction while being continuous with the main section 13, and which are provided at intervals in a tire circumferential direction; and a plurality of inclined sub grooves 12, in the outer surface 2S of the tread part 2. In the main section 13, an angle to the tire circumferential direction on the tire equator is 0 to 15 degrees.
