摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dopant also serving as an oxidizing agent and a solution thereof suitable for use in the production of an electroconductive polymer capable of providing a solid electrolytic capacitor which substantially avoids the occurrence of trouble due to a leakage current while keeping ESR low and capacitance large.

SOLUTION: The dopant also serving as an oxidizing agent is configured by adding at least one kind of α-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester selected from the group consisting of an acrylic acid ester, a diacrylic acid ester, a methacrylic acid ester and a dimethacrylic acid ester to an organic ferric sulfonate. The solution of the dopant also serving as an oxidizing agent is prepared by dissolving the dopant also serving as an oxidizing agent in water or a 1-4C alcohol or adding the α-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester to an aqueous solution of an organic ferric sulfonate or a 1-4C alcohol solution. An electroconductive polymer is produced by performing oxidation polymerization of thiophene or a derivative thereof using those. A solid electrolytic capacitor is configured using the electroconductive polymer as a solid electrolyte.
