PURPOSE: A park-steering assist device and a method thereof are provided to prevent a tire wheel or the lower side of a bumper from being collided with a curb stone when a vehicle is taken out of a lot where the vehicle is parked near a low object such as a curb stone. CONSTITUTION: A park-steering assist device includes a curb sensing unit(220), a curb distance calculation unit(230), a display unit(240), and a control unit(250). The curb sensing unit senses a left or a right curb stone based on pictures which are taken by a camera(210) which is installed inside a vehicle. The curb distance calculation unit calculates a distance between the detected curb stone and a vehicle after the curb stone is sensed. The display unit displays the calculated distance. The control unit controls a steering angle of the vehicle according to the calculated distance.
